Celebs Go Dating star teases lasting love for Mark Labbett as The Beast is ‘tamed’ in most successful series ever

MARK Labbett might be known as the fearsome Beast on The Chase – but Celebs Go Dating fans will soon see his softer side when he falls for a woman on the show.

The champion quizzer, 60, was a late arrival on the E4 programme, but he’s doing his best to make up for lost time by throwing himself into dates with members of the public.

And though he’s had a questionable start – snoozing on one and falling straight into the friend zone – sparks will soon fly.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, the show’s sexpert Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn says the Beast will be “tamed”.

Revealing why he’s the show’s ultimate surprise package, she says: “He’s supposed to be this intimidating guy on his other show and they will see him opening up more, they will see him dating in a more active and romantic way.

“You’ll see quite a big transformation,” she explains. “I think it’s very lovely to see a representation of an older man going through dating and becoming a little bit sweeter and softer and enjoying the romantic side of dating.”

Mark, whose last relationship with TV presenter Hayley Palmer, 42, came to an end in May last year, isn’t the only celeb to find a serious connection.

Kerry Katona , 44, is in a relationship with personal trainer Paolo Margaglione, 33, after meeting him on the show and they’ve even moved in together.

While S Club’s Jon Lee, 43, is dating Jordan Fairhurst after sparks flew on their dates.

Tara says: “I would say Jon has a very positive result from this journey, a very positive result.

“Honestly, Jon is one of the kindest people, the nicest celebrities I’ve ever met.

“I was doing a talk a couple weeks ago at Flackstock, the music festival, and Jon actually came with a mysterious guy that you’ll see on the show, but he was actually there to listen to the talk, it was really sweet.

“I know that Kerry’s [Katona] situation already came out so you see that, you also see Jon’s situation, you’ll see Mark’s situation, you’ll there’s there’s a lot of happy endings.”

Going even further, Tara adds: “I think it’s the most successful year so far.”
