BRAZIL boss Carlo Ancelotti’s face was a picture at Stamford Bridge as Joao Pedro ran riot against his former club.

Ancelotti, a former manager, left Pedro out of his World Cup squad this summer, in what proved to be a disappointing campaign for the Selecao.

Well the former Brighton man, who moved to Chelsea for £60 million, certainly proved a point in front of his national team boss with a blistering first-half display.

Fans noticed on social media, too.

One X user wrote: “Glad Joao Pedro scored right in front of . hold that old man.”

A second posted: “Ancelotti will be like, “Why did I leave Joao Pedro out of the World Cup squad?”

boss was actually sitting next to Ancelotti and watched put in a sterling display in centre-midfield.

A fan wrote on social media: “Ancelotti and Tuchel must still be regretting leaving Joao Pedro and Palmer out of the World Cup squad. Now they’re making sure they don’t miss a single game.”

Pedro scored 20 goals in 50 games last season, but Ancelotti made room for a half-fit in his squad instead.

At the time, Pedro released a classy statement wishing his compatriots good luck.
