Nigerian champions, Bayelsa Queens will smile home with a whopping $400,000 should the club emerge overall winners at the second edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the prize money structure for the annual competition on Wednesday.
The runners-up will take home $250,000.
The two losing semi-finalists will each receive $200,000.
Bayelsa Queens, who will make their maiden appearance in the competition are in Group B along with defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, TP Mazembe of Congo Democratic Republic and Egypt’s Wadi Degla.
The Restoration Girls will open their campaign in the competition against Mamelodi Sundowns at the Stade Grande de Marrakech on October 31.
They will face TP Mazembe in their second group game on November 3 also in Marrakech.
Bayelsa Queens’ final group game will be against Wadi Degla at the Stade Prince Heritier, Rabat on November 6.
The competition will kick-off on October 30 with the final scheduled for November 13, 2022.
