Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has expressed his team’s determination to build on their last league performance ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup clash against Kwara United.
The Ghanaian side will face Kwara United in the preliminary round first-leg tie at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana on Sunday.
Zito revealed that his team have corrected the lapses noticed in their opening-day league win over Berekum Chelsea in preparation for the game against Kwara United.
“The preparation is good and we are fighting to polish our performance from the win against Berekum Chelsea before meeting Kwara United,” Zito stated in a pre-match interview.
The return leg is scheduled for the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Kuto, a week later.
Kwara United last featured in the competition in 2023.
