CAF Confederation Cup: Kwara United, Abia Warriors crash out

Kwara United were eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup following a 1-0 defeat to Ghana’s Asante Kotoko in Abeokuta on Sunday.

The Harmony Boys lost the preliminary round contest 5-3 on aggregate.

Tunde Sanni’s side dominated the game but were let down by poor finishing.

Hubert Ayau netted the decisive goal in the 53rd minute.

Nigeria’s other representative in the competition, Abia Warriors, lost 1-0 to Djoliba of Mali.

Djoliba won the tie 2-1 on aggregate.
