A MARRIED At First Sight UK bride began cringing as soon as she met her husband-to-be at the altar.
On tonight’s episode of the mum-of-two Anita married Paul, who hasn’t dated anyone in 15 years.

Off the bat the duo seemed to have a lot in common. They both had grown up children, they had both been through a , and they had both recently been through the difficult loss of one of their parents.
Despite the hardship they both faced though, they both seemed like bubbly outgoing people, with Anita even trying out fire-eating and riding a motorcycle to embrace life to the full.
But the vision of the couple living happily ever after crumbled as soon as Paul opened his mouth.
He cracked a few jokes, as his family said he often does when he’s nervous, and Anita was immediately turned off.
Her daughter-in-law, who helped prep her for the wedding, was cringing in the audience, saying she “hopes he isn’t all jokes and has a serious side”.
Anita echoed this, visibly scrunching up her face.
When Paul was reading out his heartfelt vows, Anita nodded and repeatedly said “yep”, as if someone were asking her to cross-check a grocery list.
As the pair kissed – him saying “Go on then” – Anita turned to the crowd and half-jokingly asked: “Where did they find him?.”
When Anita had a moment alone to talk to the producers, she was quick to let them know he wasn’t what she was hoping for.
“He’s not the silver fox I was hoping for.
“But I want to give him a chance.
“Hopefully the attraction will come later.”
Viewers of the show on X were feeling the cringe energy through their television screens, and noticing how curt Anita was towards Paul during the vows.
“You look amazing, Thank you. So awkward she didn’t give even a minor compliment back,” spotted one user.
“Looooooool knew he was going to be cringe, he needs to calm down,” and “Literally everyone’s face watching when he went “Hey hey hey” as a greeting…” said others, sharing a photo of Paul’s face with bared teeth.
Paul recently to The Sun about his relationship with his father.
He described his childhood as being rather “checkered” and noted how he regrets not knocking on his father’s front door while he was still alive.
