Credit: THE SUNLEADERS Arsenal travel to Turf Moor for Saturday’s Premier League showdown with Scott Parker’s Burnley.
Burnley vs Arsenal preview
Irresistible Arsenal and in-form Burnley clash at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon, with the Gunners looking to continue their spectacular streak.
Mikel Arteta’s side have won eight consecutive games in all competitions, keeping clean sheets in seven of them, to move four points clear of second-placed Bournemouth.
That run continued in midweek with a 2–0 victory over Brighton in the Carabao Cup – a result made all the more impressive given Arteta made ten changes from the team that beat Crystal Palace, something Arne Slot attempted with far less success…
Arsenal will feel optimistic about extending their lead this weekend given their formidable record against Burnley.
They are unbeaten in their last 11 away league games against the Clarets and have won 23 of their last 24 Premier League fixtures against promoted sides, including the last 13 in a row.
As for the hosts, Burnley’s fortunes have improved following a tough start to the season.
Scott Parker’s men have recorded back-to-back wins over Leeds and Wolves to lift themselves out of the relegation zone, now sitting five points clear of 18th-placed Nottingham Forest.
However, Saturday represents a daunting challenge.
Burnley have won just one of their 18 Premier League games against Arsenal and have never beaten a side starting the day top of the table in 12 previous attempts.

Rinse and repeat…
I can’t turn down even money on Arsenal to win to nil, priced at a fairly generous 19/20 with William Hill.
As mentioned, the Gunners have been simply sensational at the back this season – winning their last six in all competitions without conceding – making it over 540 minutes since they last let one in.
Arsenal have allowed just three goals in nine Premier League matches so far – less than half the total of the next-best defences (Sunderland, Manchester City and Tottenham, all on seven).
Burnley, meanwhile, have failed to score in three of their last four meetings with Arsenal and look unlikely to find the net against a side who’ve conceded only 19 shots on target in the league all season.

Goalscorer
It might seem a bit of a punt, but we’re backing Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori to get on the scoresheet this weekend – available at 17/2 to score anytime.
Arsenal have netted 11 set-piece goals in the Premier League this season – two more than any other side – and those account for 69% of their overall tally (11 of 16).
While Gabriel might appear the obvious threat in those situations, the underlying numbers suggest it’s the Italian who’s more likely to profit.
Calafiori has registered 17 shots in the league this season – behind only Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres (both 17) – with six of those efforts coming from set pieces. His expected goals total of 1.93 is also the second-highest in the Arsenal squad.
