Submissions from Nigerian artists for the 2026 Grammy Awards have been announced.

The Grammy monitoring platform, The Grammy Guru, has recently disclosed the songs and projects submitted by various Nigerian artists for consideration in the 2026 Grammy Awards nominations.

Wizkid leads the Nigerian artists with the highest number of submissions. He submitted ‘Morayo’ for both the Album of the Year and Best Global Album categories.

The Starboy boss also put forth ‘Piece of My Heart’ for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best African Music Performance categories.

Additionally, he submitted ‘Kese (Dance)’, a project he directed, for Best Music Video. His collaborative track with Olamide and Darkoo, ‘Billionaires Club’, was also submitted for the Best African Music Performance category.

Burna Boy submitted his album ‘No Sign of Weakness’ for consideration in both the Album of the Year and Best Global Album categories.

He also submitted his song ‘Love’ for Best African Music Performance, while his collaboration with French artist Joé Dwèt Filé, ‘Kampé III’, was submitted for Best Global Music Performance.

Ayra Starr submitted ‘Hot Body’ for the Record of the Year and Song of the Year categories.

She also entered her collaboration with Wizkid, ‘Gimme Dat’, for both the Best African Music Performance and Best Music Video categories.

The Recording Academy will cast votes for the songs and projects nominated in each category, with the nominees set to be announced in November 2025.

Nigerian singer Davido has recently become a voting member of the Recording Academy.
