BTS has made Billboard 200 history yet again!
On July 27 local time, Billboard announced that BTS’s first live album “” had debuted at No. 10 on its Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States.
With this new entry, BTS has set a new record as the K-pop artist with the most top 10 albums in the Billboard 200, breaking their tie with TWICE , ATEEZ , and SEVENTEEN.
“PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LIVE” is BTS’s eighth album to enter the top 10 of the Billboard 200, following “,” “,” “,” “,” “,” “BE,” and “.”
According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), “PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LIVE” earned a total of 43,000 equivalent album units combined during the week ending on July 24. The album’s total score consisted of 36,000 traditional album sales-making it the second best-selling album of the week in the United States-and 5,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, which translates to 6.58 million on-demand audio streams over the course of the week. The live album also racked up 2,000 track equivalent album (TEA) units in its first week.
