THERE’S no letting up in the snooker roadshow as some of the world’s best return to the table for the 2025 British Open tournament.
Mark Selby swept John Higgins aside by beating the Scotsman 10-5 to lift last year’s crown.

And the English ace banked a whopping £100,000 just for winning the showpiece match alone.
But if Selby is to receive another huge pay cheque in Cheltenham, he’ll have to overcome the likes of World No1 and current World Champion, Zhao Xintong, as they’ll both feature.
However, Ronnie O’Sullivan has once again left fans disappointed with the snooker legend revealing that in this year’s competition.

What is the British Open snooker 2025 prize money?
The world’s best snooker stars will be playing for a total prize pot of £502,000.
And the winner is set to take home a lion’s share of £100,000 which matches earnings from his 2024 triumph.
Organisers have also revealed that there will be a £5,000 bonus for the player who hits the highest break.

When is the British Open snooker 2025?
This year’s British Open snooker 2025 takes place from Monday, September 22 and concludes on Sunday, September 28.
Afternoon sessions get underway at 1pm BST while the evening sessions start at 7pm BST.
The first four rounds are all best of seven frames, quarter-final matches will be best of nine, semi-finals are both the best of 11 and then the final will be best of 19 frames.
Cheltenham Racecourse is the chosen venue for this highly anticipated event.
