A BRITISH tourist and his partner who fled a hotel inferno have been offered just £87 in compensation between them.

Josh Robbins and Shelby A’Court took an all-inclusive package trip to a £1,800-a-week complex in .

Yet they had to flee for their lives as on the island of Brac.

The couple said they and dozens of others were left to fend for themselves by staff.

They ran to a nearby dock and got away thanks to locals who turned up in a flotilla of boats.

Mortgage adviser Josh, 26, from Dorset, said: “We thought we were going to die.

“We want all our back and compensation for what we went through but we’re being told it was an ‘act of God’ and we should claim .

“Tui have now offered £87 — or a little more if we accept a voucher.

“I asked them to email the offer.

“I’ll send it to my legal adviser.”

The hotel denied claims guests were abandoned, insisting reception staff aided the evacuation.

Tui was asked to comment.
