The psychology graduate from Redditch, Worcestershire, has been sentenced to four years
She pleaded guilty to causing death through dangerous driving while under the influence of alcohol in August.
The psychology graduate from Redditch was more than three times over the legal alcohol limit when she got on the scooter after a reported drinking session.
She was speeding down a footpath with a friend when she crashed into Thanh from behind, knocking him down.
The unfortunate father's head struck the pavement, and he died from a brain bleed two days later.
His death brought e-scooter regulations into focus in Australia and led several local councils, including Perth, to permanently suspend e-scooter rental services.
Kemp’s friend also sustained a broken nose and a fractured skull, but her injuries were not life-threatening.
A judge remarked to the British tourist: “You, Miss Kemp, serve as a cautionary example.
“E-scooters are not toys.”
This followed her guilty plea to dangerous driving causing death while under the influence of alcohol at the Perth Magistrates Court in August.
