BRIGITTE Bardot has passed away at the age of 91 after being rushed to the hospital due to a “sudden illness.”

The legendary French film star and ’60s sex symbol underwent surgery following her admission to the hospital three weeks ago.

She was at her residence in Saint-Tropez when she was unexpectedly taken to a hospital in nearby Toulon.

It is believed that the actress was recovering from her surgery.

Throughout her life, the star has been married four times.

She was married to actor Roger Vadim from 1952 to 1957, followed by her marriage to Jacques Charrier from 1959 to 1962.

Her third marriage was to Gunter Sachs in 1967, but they separated two years later.

In 1992, she married Bernard d’Ormale.
