BRIDGERTON has revealed the top-secret plot of season five after filming for the latest Netflix instalment began.
Previously, The Sun exclusively revealed how both had been given the green light.

Now bosses have confirmed characters and Michaela Stirling will be at the centre of the action.
In a new release, accompanied by a trailer, they state: “Two years after losing her beloved husband John, Fran decides to reenter the marriage mart for practical reasons.
“But when John’s cousin Michaela returns to to tend to the Kilmartin estate, Fran’s complicated feelings will have her questioning whether to stick to her pragmatic intentions or pursue her inner passions”.
Michaela, played by Masali Baduza, joined Bridgerton in series three along with cousin John, and she stirred the pot after refusing to confirm to the norms.
She becomes closer to Fran, now played by Hannah Dodd, in season four as the pair navigated their grief together.
Fran, who has been in Bridgerton since the opening series, is more reserved but will now get her time to shine.
The brief trailer scenes see the females strolling out into the courtyard towards the sunshine.
The captions on the scenes read: “Next season love begins again”.
It wraps with the duo smiling at each other and gently brushing fingers, and the words: “Now in production”.
Show bosses added of their plotline: “As Michaela stirs up new feelings inside her, Fran will make discoveries about herself that could change everything”.
They then teased: “This season, Michaela must face her vulnerability head-on as she’s forced to navigate her relationship to her late cousin’s legacy — and to Francesca”.
The next instalment will follow the highly anticipated fourth season, centred on Benedict , who is played by Luke Thompson, and released this year.
He met his romantic interest at his mother’s masquerade ball in the first episode of the new season.

Who are the Bridgerton siblings?
THERE are eight Bridgerton siblings in total.
Here’s who they are in age – and alphabetical – order:
Anthony – the oldest is played by He was the main focus of and after a lot of will-they/won’t they he ended up marrying Kate Sharma.
Benedict – the second son, played by Luke Thompson, is the focus of the third book. However his romance is not the main story featured in season three of the Netflix drama, which will instead focus on his younger brother, Colin
Colin – plays , who is a favourite with the ladies. He is also the object of desire for , who is also the mysterious . However as the season starts he is unaware of this fact, and ready to hunt down the anonymous gossip writer.
Daphne – season one introduced us to , the oldest female Bridgerton sibling. Played by , viewers watched her , the Duke of Hastings, unfold, gaining actor e many fans.
Eloise – book-loving Eloise has delighted viewers with her rebellious spirit and tomboy ways. She made her debut in society during the second season and was horrified to find that her best friend, Pen, was Lady Whistledown. Eloise is played by Claudia Jessie.
Francesca – has been brought in to play Francesca in season three, as she makes her social season debut. in the first two seasons.
Gregory – Gregory is played by Will Tilston. As yet he has not played a key part in the series as he’s too young to be presented before the Queen. His story features in book eight of the series.
Hyacinth – the youngest Bridgerton sibling is played by Florence Hunt. Although younger than Gregory, Hyacinth’s story is featured in book seven.
Alison is a devoted fan of based on Julia Quinn’s novels, making no secret of the fact that she loves to binge watch it.
During a fan talk with the leading actors in the current season — , who plays Benedict, and who plays Sophie — Alison referred to herself as Lady Hammond and dropped a massive hint she could be joining the cast.
She told the shocked audience: “You won’t know this yet, but we’ve just been speaking and apparently there’s a new character!”
To which executive producer Tom Verica announced: “Alison opens ” to cries and gasps from the excited audience.
Alison squealed: “That is where I belong” adding that she is “very excited” and to “watch this space.”
A show insider said discussions are underway for her to join in a one-off episode.
