However, it appeared to some fans that she was trying to purposefully sound more American on the talk show.

The star was talking about her mother Sally, who is best known for her long-running role as on .

She said, in a clearly British accent: “I would grow up on sets going to see my mum on her soap, Coronation Street.”

However as soon as Kelly began to speak, Phoebe’s accent seemed to shift to have a slight American twang.

Listeners from the UK couldn’t help but pick up on it and began to make comments online.

One user on X said: “What has happened to Phoebe’s accent…….”

A second said: “I know you’re giving me your best American accent but I can still tell that you’re British.”

A third added: “Phoebe Dynevor needs to work on her American accent.”

Phoebe reached huge success for her role as Daphne in season one of ‘s Bridgerton.

Starring alongside love interest Simon Basset (Rege-Jean Page), the pair sent temperatures rising with sizzling scenes and unapologetic romance.
