GETTING married can be stressful, but one bridezilla was caught on camera screaming at ‘rude’ guests to ‘shut up’ from the altar – when they talked over the priest.
Kaitlin Rooney married Lawrence Rooney at St Gregory’s Church, Northampton, Northamptonshire, on May 28 but was running two hours late due to taking photos.

The already ‘panicked and stressed’ 19-year-old says her ‘rude’ guests wouldn’t stop talking after she entered the church.
Kaitlin says she became ‘angry’ when the noise forced the ‘really stressed’ priest to stop speaking and she knew if she didn’t say anything her guests would carry on talking over him.
Video footage shared on shows the moment Kaitlin screams at her guests captioned ‘I was not a bridezilla, people made me be one’ that’s gone viral with more than 2.5million views.
In the clip you can hear the priest saying ‘we come together’ before abruptly stopping as the guests continue chatting over him.

The fuming bride then turns to the chatty congregation and screams ‘everyone shut up’ before shooting people a dirty look.
However, the carer says she was left ‘shocked and upset’ when her guests didn’t listen to her and was ‘grateful’ when the best man whistled to quieten everyone down.
Despite this the bride says it was still ‘the best day ever’ and she now ‘sees the funny side of it’, encouraging other brides to ‘cherish the bad moments along with the good’.
Kaitlin, from Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, said: “My guests brought the bridezilla side out in me.
“After I got ready my photographer was taking photos but he was taking photos for a very long time so I was already nearly two hours late to my own ceremony.
“I was panicking and stressing and thinking the priest is going to be so [annoyed].
“Everyone kept talking and I knew my priest was already upset over me being nearly two hours late.
“I just stood thinking ‘don’t do it, don’t scream, maybe they’ll quiet down in a second’. Then the priest stopped talking and was looking around really stressed.
“I knew if I didn’t say something they’d keep at it. Their conversations were just about how nice I looked and that they couldn’t believe we were getting married.
” I know I looked nice but they could’ve waited.
“I was giving everyone dirty looks like ‘shut up’ but nobody was taking it so I had to speak up then.
“I just screamed ‘everyone shut up’ but when I did no one listened.
“I was like ‘oh, I just screamed in the church’ because you’re not supposed to do that. The priest even looked at me and had a little grin on his face and I think he wanted to laugh too.
“I was quite shocked and upset when people didn’t listen to me when I told them to shut up.
“It was my husband’s best man that had to whistle for everyone to go quiet. I’m grateful, if it wasn’t for him, I think everyone would’ve still been sitting there talking.
“Everyone told me about it ‘I can’t believe what you did, you just screamed’. All I wanted them to do was shut up.
“I was trying to get married and I thought people were being a bit rude talking over the ceremony. They’re really noisy guests.
“Everyone’s telling me in the comments ‘why would you have kids at your wedding?’. I have a four-year-old little brother so it was kind of hard not to have them.
“I love kids and it’s hard to say no children when that’s a part of our family, it’s the adults that really got to me.”
The newlywed, who met her 18-year-old husband at a concert in 2024, says she can now look back and laugh at the moment, urging other brides not to stress too much.
Kaitlin said: “In the moment I was really angry but now I don’t care about them talking, now I look back and it was funny.
“I knew there was going to be a moment where I ended up screaming at someone and it turned out to be the whole church, but that’s okay.
“Everyone told me I was right for what I did and that they would’ve done worse than what I did and they would’ve kicked everyone out.
“I’m not like that and I just wanted them to be quiet. I was having one of those days but it’s one of those moments I’d love to go back on.
“It was the best day ever and I couldn’t fault it even with the things that went wrong.
“I think sometimes on your wedding day you have to have things that go wrong to make it a wedding day. It makes you remember those moments.
“Don’t stress about your wedding and if anything goes wrong cherish it because those moments will always be a reminder of what happened on your big day.”
