CHELSEA make the short trip to the Gtech Community Stadium for Sunday's Premier League showdown against Brentford.
Brentford vs Chelsea preview
Chelsea will aim to strengthen their push for Champions League qualification when they travel across the capital to face Brentford on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues edged past Tottenham with a narrow 1-0 victory on Thursday, a result that lifted Enzo Maresca’s side back into the top four with just eight games remaining.
It was Enzo Fernández who provided the decisive moment in a typically fiery London derby, and Maresca will be hoping for a similar result when his side take on Brentford, who remain a tricky proposition despite their inconsistent form.
Chelsea have now won five of their last six fixtures in all competitions, but question marks remain over their form away from Stamford Bridge.
The west Londoners have lost each of their last four Premier League away games â a run they haven’t matched since a five-game slump between October and December of 2000.
In all competitions, Chelsea have managed just two wins from their last 10 away matches (D2 L6), both of which came in the Conference League against Astana and FC Copenhagen.
Since 22 December, no side in the Premier League has collected fewer points on the road than the Blues.
Maresca will hope Brentford’s own struggles at home continue.
The Bees have failed to win any of their last four home league meetings with Chelsea (D2 L2) and are on a dismal run at the Gtech Community Stadium, where they’ve gone seven league games without victory (D2 L5).
Defensive issues have also plagued Thomas Frank’s side, who are yet to keep a Premier League clean sheet at home this season â a run stretching 16 matches.
Despite sitting in the bottom half, Brentford still have an outside shot at European football, but their midweek 2-1 defeat at Newcastle didn't help.

Wissa
Yes, Brentford's home record hasn't been encouraging of late – but they usually score and have netted seven in their last four meetings with Chelsea.
And if they do score – Yoane Wissa will likely be involved.
The striker has been involved in 13 goals in his last 14 home Premier League appearances (11 goals, 2 assists), while the Brentford forward scored the Bees' second goal in the 2-2 draw with Chelsea on home soil last season.

Fired up
Chelsea's Cole Palmer is desperate to get back on the scoresheet having gone 11 matches without a goal.
The Blues playmaker, 22, has bagged 14 goals this season but his last arrived against Bournemouth back in January. However, it's not for want of trying.
Palmer struck two efforts on target during Thursday's victory over Tottenham, and has averaged 3.6 efforts per game. He still ranks highest for Chelsea shots on target with 1.5 each game. He looks a good bet against a side who are yet to keep a Premier League clean sheet at home this season.
