A doctor who inappropriately touched two junior colleagues has been removed from practice.

Dr. Steven Roberts "abused his position of authority" when he commented on a woman's new uniform.

A tribunal revealed that during a shift, Dr. Roberts remarked to a co-worker that “he didn’t know where to look” after noticing her new attire.

He then made a “lewd growl” and used his hands to make her breasts “jiggle” for a period of 20 seconds.

Additionally, Dr. Roberts was found to have "grabbed" another co-worker's waist and did not release her, even when she attempted to “push herself away” and questioned him about “what he was doing.”

The affected woman expressed that the incident left her feeling “panicked and distracted,” and she felt “too sick to eat” during her night shift.

Dr. Roberts did apologize for his behavior but claimed he did not believe he had “grabbed” her.

The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service determined that Dr. Roberts’ actions constituted sexual misconduct.

As a result, they have removed his name from the medical register.

Dr. Roberts graduated as a doctor in 1992 from the University and worked as a consultant anaesthetist at the Royal Infirmary.
