A 12-YEAR-OLD boy has been rushed to hospital with life-changing injuries after being hit by a car as cops make one arrest.

Police said the collision occurred in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, at around 7.50pm on Saturday on Station Road.

The crash was between a grey Mercedes AMG and a 12-year-old boy.

Thames Valley Police has arrested a 28-year-old man from Slough on suspicion of driving while over the alcohol and drug limit and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The force said the boy was in a stable condition in hospital but had suffered life-changing injuries.

Investigating officer Sergeant Richard Martin of the Roads Policing Unit said: “This collision has left a young boy with serious, life-changing injuries and our thoughts are with him and his family at this incredibly difficult time.

“We are carrying out a thorough investigation and are appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision, or who saw a grey Mercedes AMG in the Station Road, High Street or Marlow Road areas before the incident, to please come forward.

“Even the smallest detail could prove vital in helping us establish exactly what happened. If you have any information, dash-cam footage or CCTV that may assist our investigation, please get in touch.”
