POLICE have made an arrest following an incident in which a gang wearing balaclavas reportedly threatened a woman with a knife before she was sexually assaulted.

A 15-year-old boy has been taken into custody on suspicion of attempted rape.

The victim was walking between Old Run View and West Grange Road in Leeds just before 11 a.m. on Monday when the incident took place.

As she walked along the pathway in the Belle Isle area of the city, she was approached by four masked individuals on two electric bikes, according to West Yorkshire Police.

A knife was allegedly brandished against her neck before she was sexually assaulted during this “horrific incident.”

All four suspects, who were dressed in black balaclavas and clothing, fled the scene shortly afterward, police reported.

It is believed that the same group of individuals has been involved in multiple incidents.
