A BOY was abducted from a park while playing near a fish pond.

The four-year-old was in Haden Hill Park in Cradley Heath when he vanished.

His mum was tending to her baby at the time of the horror, said.

Thankfully the boy was discovered in woodland nearby shortly after.

Police have now launched a manhunt for the suspected kidnapper following the incident yesterday at around 3pm.

He has been described as a black male in his late teens, officers said.

The suspect is short in height with curled hair, and is believed to be clean shaven and dressed in black clothing.

Cops have said they believe this is an isolated incident but are appreciative of the concern this has caused the local community.

As they investigate the incident, police are studying CCTV footage to try and identify the man.

They have also appealed to the public for any information they may have in regards to the alleged attempted kidnapped.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We’re in the early stages of the and specially trained officers are speaking to the boy and his family as we look to establish exactly what happened.

“We are also appealing for witnesses to come forward and we’re particularly keen to hear from people who may have been in the park at the time and may have any mobile footage to please contact us.”
