BOURNEMOUTH and Manchester United don't have many wins between them in recent weeks ahead of their meeting on the south coast on Sunday.

With a crunch Europa League on the horizon next week, how will Ruben Amorim view this trip?

Bournemouth vs Manchester United preview

The form of both of these sides means their domestic campaigns are in danger of fizzling out.

Bournemouth lost three on the bounce – one in FA Cup – and have then won just once since, meaning just five points from their last 15 available as the teams above their eighth spot have kicked clear.

They go into the weekend eight points behind Aston Villa in 7th – who have played a game more – but are just four points clear of Crystal Palace in 12th.

The complexities of Europe and the English representatives mean the Cherries have to keep winning, in case 8th lands a spot on the continent next season.

Victory over Man Utd on Sunday can go a long well to helping with that, with United prioritising their upcoming Europa League semi final next Thursday.

Their disastrous campaign can be summed up by the defeat to fellow strugglers, Wolves at Old Trafford last week – yet it was almost a celebration over the weekend that they were mathematically guaranteed to stay UP.

They sit 14th and just four points clear of West Ham in the position directly above the drop and it's a sad state of affairs that relegation is now only being ruled out with four to play.

Alas, it allows them to concentrate on the first leg in Bilbao next Thursday so team selection – like it was last weekend – will be interesting.

Ready to Cook

Bournemouth actually have a few players in the top 15 most-booked players in league.

Ryan Christie tops the list but is out through injury and Antoine Semenyo (9) and Lewis Cook (8) aren't far behind.

In this scenario, we're going with Cook who has three bookings in his last four starts, meaning he's in form in the booking category.
