THIS is the terrifying moment a blaze rips through a camper van parked on a petrol station forecourt as bystanders watch on in horror.

Fire crews eventually managed to quench the inferno
The blaze erupted outside the Esso fuel station on the as horrified bystanders watched on.
Footage of the incident shows a huge fireball engulfing the entire caravan.
Thick plumes of black smoke billowed into the air and towards the petrol station as people watched helplessly.
Footage caught by a shocked member of the public, who was passing the chaotic scene in a car, shows the fireball burning dangerously close to the petrol pumps.

The blaze looks to have completely destroyed the , with only a blackened and charred frame remaining.
In the dramatic footage, a cloud of black smoke has completely overwhelmed the petrol station – leaving the forecourt concealed behind the smog.
It remains unclear if anyone was injured as a result of the horror inferno.

Fire crews responded to the scene quickly and battled to bring the fire under control.
Two teams of firefighters were called to the scene to tackle the raging fire.
The inferno was put out a short while later and the A487 is understood to have been reopened.

The petrol station can be seen taped off and closed down with the pumps shut in the aftermath of the blaze.
A spokesperson for North Fire and Rescue said: “We were called at approximately 12.49 today.
“There are two crews in attendance at the incident. One vehicle is involved.”
