THIS is the terrifying moment a huge fire ripped through a car factory in Barcelona and a monster column of smoke blotted out the sky.

At least 150 employees have been evacuated after the Montesa-Honda headquarters were engulfed in flames on Friday.

Twenty-eight fire crews have been frantically working to extinguish the flames as a black clouds of smoke billow from the burning building.

The Honda warehouse has partially collapsed in the inferno.

The horror accident unfolded at 3pm while builders were fixing solar panels on the roof of the building.

Seventeen fire engines from the Catalan Fire Service raced to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 2:58pm.

The site at Santa Perpètua de Mogoda is very close to a major highway and several other warehouses.

They have been battling the flames for several hours – but now have the fire under control.

No injuries have been recorded as of yet.
