FORMER Coronation Street star Beverley Callard has revealed she passed out on the set of her new soap and an ambulance had to be called, as she continues to battle breast cancer.

Taking to Instagram for her latest update, , who is best known for playing Liz McDonald in , revealed her health scare happened on the set of her new soap, .
“I’ve been at work this week, filming the most amazing scenes. Really good, great scripts working with people who are so good, but good fun as well,” the much-loved star told fans in a video from her home.
“And it was all going swimmingly, and then today, I’ve no idea what happened to me, but I was all ready to start a new scene with Emily, who plays my daughter, and we just sat there getting ready, about to run lines, and I lost consciousness for a few minutes, maybe 10 minutes, which was very odd.
“Because of protocol, they had to check me out and everything. An ambulance came. I desperately didn’t want to go to hospital.”
Giving an update on how she is feeling now, Bev said: “I recovered and felt fine again but I can’t explain what it was. I was boiling hot. I seemed to lose 10 minutes but I don’t know why. I was checked out by the ambulance men and everything and they were happy to let me come home as long as I rested.
‘So I’ve got rest all weekend but now, I have to tell you, I feel a complete fraud because I’m home and I feel perfectly normal.
“The only thing that did happen was my blood pressure was through the roof but obviously I’ve not been right since the radiotherapy.
The star signed off by revealing she was heading back to hospital next week and also waiting for more test results.
Bev has been open with fans about .
Earlier this month had left her feeling.
The actress told fans she has been suffering three bad days for every good one since completing treatment.
“Yesterday was a good day. I went to work, not for too long, but it was great. I felt occasional nausea, but it wasn’t too bad,” Bev said.
“But today I just feel so sick all the time. I have one good day and then three bad since the radiotherapy.”
What are the signs of breast cancer?
Signs and symptoms
Stay alert to symptoms of breast cancer which include:
- A lump or swelling in the breast, upper chest or armpit
- A change to the skin, such as puckering or dimpling
- A change in the colour of the breast – the breast may look red or inflamed
- A nipple change, for example, it has become pulled in (inverted)
- Rash or crusting around the nipple
- Unusual liquid (discharge) from either nipple
- Changes in the size or shape of the breast
On its own, pain in your breasts is not usually a sign of breast cancer. But look out for pain in your breast or armpit that’s there all or almost all the time.
Although rare, men can get breast cancer. The most common symptom of breast cancer in men is a lump in the chest area.
