are said to be keen on extending terms for at least one more year, keeping him at the club for a decade.

However, Marca claims the Portugal international has decided it’s time to leave.

The versatile midfielder, who has two goals in 38 outings this season, will apparently see out of the rest of the season under

But Silva has “no intention” of committing to another contract in the North West.

And in that case, he is set to become a free agent on the market this summer.

Silva, who has won six titles during his nine years at City, has long been linked with a move to Barcelona.

The Spaniards are reportedly still keen on signing him.

But Silva’s wages could prove to be too much for cash-strapped Barca, even if they win LaLiga again.

It’s reckoned another destination could be Saudi Arabia, where host of international pals including Cristiano Ronaldo and Ruben Neves ply their trade.

Silva would stand to make a significant increase on his current £300k-a-week deal.

But he could yet be swayed by an emotional return to boyhood club Benfica, where he started his career in 2002.

Should Silva leave City, he is sure to get a grand send-off after establishing himself as a key player under Guardiola.

City paid £43million to sign him from Monaco in 2017 after he helped the French side to a shock Ligue 1 title.

During his time at the Etihad, Silva won the Premier League six times, the FA Cup twice and the Carabao Cup four times.

Silva also led City to their first Champions League victory in 2023.

And he currently boasts 75 goals across 445 games in all competitions.
