BENIDORM fans have been left shocked after one ITV star revealed the baffling amount of cash the cast still receives.
Despite the popular stopping in 2018, some of the show’s characters continue to get paid royalties.

Asa went on to star in 13 episodes throughout seasons 5 and 6
One of the programme’s most well-known faces is singer who burst onto the scene during the Christmas Special in 2010.
He later went on to star in 13 episodes throughout seasons 5 and 6 which wrapped in 2014, taking up just minutes of airtime.
Even though he wasn’t on screen for very long, the 43-year-old from Manchester still gets cheques through the post every year.
Taking to his page, Asa told his 116,000 followers the exact amount he makes – and some fans can’t believe it.
“So, when I first started filming the show there was nothing in my contract to [say] I’d receive repeat fees or royalties.
“But thankfully my agent at the time, she managed to renegotiate the contract when I had some scenes with extra dialogue and I was in a few more episodes.
“And ever since then I’ve been receiving royalties every year.”
Asa said it is a “mystery” when his payments are going to arrive, but explained he’s had a steady flow of money from the show for years.
“Now it’s always a bit of a mystery when they’re going to arrive and even how much it’s going to be for, I have no idea.
“But last year I got two different payments which dropped into my account. So it was two payments, £81 and £98.”
He also told fans about the four-figure sums he’d receive back in the day when Benidorm was still on the TV.
“Now I remember the first time I got royalties I didn’t know it was coming and I got £1,000 in my bank account. It was so unexpected and so welcomed.
“And ever since then it’s been two or three hundred pounds every year. So I only had quite a small role in the show.
“So can you imagine how much the main actors get every year? I’d love to ask them. I wonder if any of them will tell me how much they got.”
In the comments, fans couldn’t quite believe the amount of money. One wrote: “Is that it?” While another said: “You’d be able to buy a loaf of bread with that.”
A third commented: “I wonder how much Jaqueline got because I’m pretty sure she was in every episode, I wonder if there’s a cap on it.”

On another TikTok, he filmed himself in Benidorm, saying: “You’ve seen what’s out there online and I can’t really say much more than that just now.
“But, I’ve just flown out to Spain to a lovely place. I don’t know if you recognise it?”
He added: “And I’ve got a little bit of business to attend to.
“So any breaking news will be on this TikTok account and you’ll be the first to know about any news about the Benidorm reboot show.”
