A BBC Sport presenter has revealed that she’s pregnant with her second child after a lengthy IVF battle.

Kelly Somers, 35, who has hosted the likes of and Final Score, took to to share the exciting news with her 101k followers

The TV star and her fiance Max, who she keeps out of the spotlight, are already proud parents to their daughter, who they welcomed into the world in 2023.

After being misdiagnosed with a health condition in her 20s, and wondering if she would be able to have another baby, the journalist recently took to Instagram to share their happy news with some sweet Polaroid snaps showing off her growing bump.

She captioned the post: “So, I didn’t just overeat in America. Beyond my wildest dreams – soon to be mama of two.”

Many rushed to the comments section to congratulate the star.

One said: “Amazing. Congrats.”

Another commented: “Sooooo happy for you!!!!”

“Oh yay!! Congratulations lovely!!!” a third wrote.

A fourth added: “Such beautiful news!! Love this for you all.”

Kelly suffered with bad periods growing up and was misdiagnosed with , but was later told that she has polycystic ovary syndrome (now polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome).

According to the website, endometriosis is “where cells similar to those in the lining of the womb (uterus) grow in other parts of the body”, while PMOS is “a hormone condition that can affect hair growth, periods, fertility and mood”.

After the birth of her first child, it was found that she had adenomyosis, which the NHS defines as “where the lining of the womb (uterus) starts growing into the muscle in the wall of the womb”.

So the journalist was worried about if she would be able to become a parent again.

She recently told The Telegraph: “As I was three years older and had another gynaecological condition, we didn’t want to leave it too long.”

Kelly and Max have been together for over a decade and got engaged in 2020.
