BEST pals Jo and Kush were last night crowned winners of BBC One travel contest Race Across The World, bagging the £20,000 prize.
First to sign the empty arrivals book at the finishing point in Hatgal, , the Liverpool students were lost for words when they realised they had got there ahead of father and daughter Andrew and Molly, who arrived three hours later.

Siblings Katie and Harrison came third and in-laws Mark and Margo were fourth.
Kush said: “It’s a bitter-sweet feeling, because that’s the end of our travelling, but it shows that all our hard work succeeded.”
After more than 7,000 miles through and to win the cash, Jo added: “I want to spend some on my family and then a nice trip away, a holiday.
“But the majority of it will go into an ISA so hopefully I can buy a house sooner.”
Kush said: “I’m going to invest a fair amount into what I enjoy doing, to hopefully build a career out of it – like travelling.”

MYSTERY artist Mr Phantom staged a night-time takeover of the hotel where the stars of the new series of are staying – turning it into a makeshift art gallery.
Under the cover of darkness, he slipped into the communal areas of the Courtyard by Marriott in Inverness, before installing more than £50,000 worth of art.
Mr Phantom then projected cryptic messages on the outside of the hotel, transforming it into one giant installation.
The stunt did spark something of a security alert – though no celebrities were harmed in the making of the gallery.
