TV doctor Ranj Singh has been “quietly replaced” on BBC’s Morning Live after a lucrative deal compelled him to leave the show.
The 46-year-old presenter has not been seen as a health expert on the daytime program since July 2025.

New faces including Dr. Kas Ahmed, who gained fame on series three, and Dr. Aziza Sesay have joined the program, alongside regular contributors Dr. Xand van Tulleken and Dr. Oscar Duke.
The Sun reported that Dr. Ranj has been off the air since July 2025 after signing a contract to promote fat injections and coaching for those aiming to lose weight.
Sources have claimed that the move is not permanent, but new on-screen experts have been introduced to fill the void.
An insider stated: “Dr. Ranj hasn’t been a regular expert on the show for a while now.
“With weight loss injections being very relevant at the moment, it would have been inappropriate for him to discuss it on-screen after signing a deal with a weight loss company.
“While he’s stepped aside to concentrate on other freelance opportunities, some fresh faces have been brought in who have impressed the bosses.
“Having a pool of experts who can contribute to the show is crucial for the Morning Live team.
“It’s truly a collaborative effort.”
Dr. Ranj has not appeared in a post on Voy’s social media accounts since November 13, and there is currently no date set for his return to the BBC.
His paid partnership advertisement first launched on social media in October, featuring Dr. Ranj and Loose Women’s presenters.
The exact amount of money Dr. Ranj is earning remains undisclosed, as does the duration of his contract.
Dr. Ranj commented on collaborating with the weight loss company: “I partnered with Voy because, for them, weight loss isn’t solely about size or numbers.
“Voy adopts a truly holistic approach to health. They focus on making you healthier, which is why it’s so significant to me.”
The company provides both clinical assistance—including Mounjaro and Wegovy fat injections—as well as Orlos capsules and coaching.
Dr. Ranj transitioned to BBC’s Morning Live later that year.
BBC guidelines state that “significant financial interests” should be disclosed “if they are in any way related to the area in which they work or the subject matter they cover.”
A BBC spokesperson previously told The Sun: “Dr. Ranj is a freelancer who can engage in work outside of the BBC in accordance with editorial guidelines.”
