shared a video of former PDC chairman and Matchroom Sport founder Hearn, father of , brainstorming ideas to make the announcement.
In the video shared, the 77-year-old was seen consulting two “marketing experts” on how to reveal the deal to the public.
One of them starts out by going for bull and asking whether he can call Hearn “Baz”, which receives a firm denial and death stare.
The brainstorm moved on to propose a photoshoot with Hearn signing the new contract like a footballer signing for a new club, however, another swift rejection was forthcoming with neither wanting to claim responsibility for the idea.
A third idea thrown up is for Hearn to open up by doing the dance before an attempted show of the dance sees a furious Hearn reply: “Don’t ever do that in my presence again.”
Hearn then gives an even more scathing assessment towards a song loved by fans; the and song.
The idea is put forward for the Premier League title winning brothers, who are even said to be “very keen”, to announce the deal, before Hearn puts a pin in the plan by declaring: “I hate that song.”
After two more failed ideas, Hearn proposes an idea of his own; looking straight into the camera and announcing the new five-year deal.
That idea does the trick as the video cuts away to footage of the darts and a voiceover before going back to the bungling marketing team, with Hearn making a quick exit as his chair is seen swivelling but empty.
