WARMER weather is set to return this week with 26C temperatures forecast for parts of the country.
Met Office has confirmed these warmer conditions will offer Brits a “final taste of summer” before autumn progresses.
Temperatures in the capital are forecast to rise to 26C on Tuesday (September 29) after a wetter and cloudier start to September.
This comes as forecasts show “above average” temperatures for the end of September and moving into the beginning of October.
According to the : “These temperatures would be notably warm for late September and could offer a final taste of summer before autumn becomes more firmly established.”
Moving into tomorrow (September 27), Brits can expect to see balmier conditions, with warm sunshine in the south and the east forecast throughout the day.
Temperatures between the high teens and mid twenties are set to be enjoyed tomorrow at 4pm, with highs of 22C in , 20C in Birmingham and between 18C and 19C in the north.
Monday is set for similar weather conditions, also ranging between 18C and 22C across the country.
Forecasts suggest it will be “mostly fine” on Monday before typical “wet and ” arrives on Tuesday.
However, for large parts of the country, the very best of the weather this week will be on Tuesday.
London will see of 26C in the afternoon, alongside 25C highs in Cambridge, 24C in Birmingham, and even 25C temperatures as far north as Lincoln.
Mild conditions continue into next week as “longer drier interludes” are forecast to mark the beginning of .
