Former La Liga star, Marcos Senna, has named the player to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or award.
According to him, Lamine Yamal of Barcelona is the next Ballon d’Or winner.
He feels that at the moment, there is no other football player close to the Spain international in terms of performance.
Senna believes the Barça academy product is on another level compared to the other players.
Senna told Sport that there is no doubt about the teenage attacker’s talents.
“There is no doubt that if Lamine continues on this path, he will be the next Ballon d’Or winner,” he said.
“He is a player who is totally different from the rest.
“Lamine is going to win many more Ballon d’Or awards.”
The 2025 edition of the most prestigious individual award in football was handed to PSG forward Ousmane Dembele in Paris on Monday and Senna said the Frenchman deserved the award this year.
However, he pointed out that it would not have been a robbery if Yamal had won it.
The 18-year-old Yamal came second in the race, with Dembele’s club teammate, Vitinha completing the top three in the Ballon d’Or race.
