Designer Holovis is collaborating with Landsec and has announced they are opening the first large-scale immersive projection domes in the UK.

The two domes will be 19 metres tall across 1,300 square metres and have immersive and panoramic surround-screens so you’ll really feel like you’ve stepped into a different world.

Opening in Gunwharf Quays in , the very first event in the domes will be themed around Halloween.

Fans of the spooky season will be able to step into Pumpkinville which has been described as “a spellbinding world of magic, mischief and spine-tingling thrills”.

It’s teased as having “frightful and fun attractions for all the family” Local media reported that the attraction will have a ‘SpookAdemy’ where children can learn the key skills to being scary.

There will also be ‘The Lantern Lounge’, a Halloween-themed cafe and bar.

At night the dome will have themed bars with vintage horrors playing at the ‘Pumpkin Picturehouse’.

For over 18s, there will be a horror experience called ‘The Summoning’ which will offer an intimate séance horror experience.

Pumpkinville will be open from October 24 until November 2.

Images show the domes as two giant pumpkins surrounded by creepy figures and even more pumpkins.

Tickets aren’t on sale yet, but you can sign up here for more details about the waitlist.

After the Halloween experience, a version will take over the domes.

While few details have been released, renders show huge nutcrackers, Christmas trees, fairy lights and the domes looking like giant baubles.

Creators have said there will be places to “be entertained, eat, drink and shop all under one roof” – so there’s likely to be stalls and places to grab a souvenir too.
