The National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Felix Morka, has alleged that former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has never been in touch with Nigerians.

Morka made the claim on Monday during an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television, saying Atiku is completely out of touch with the situation in the country.

The APC spokesman was reacting to Atiku’s comments on hunger.

“At this point, I want to believe that Atiku is not in this country; he does not live in this country. He’s completely out of touch with what goes on in this country.

“I think he just goes back to his old notebooks and picks up a headline and begins to write as he does.

“If Atiku was paying attention to the unfolding economic programmes of this government, he wouldn’t have made the kind of statement that he made today.

“It’s so surprising that Atiku would make this statement on a day when every newspaper is reporting the lowering of our inflation numbers,” he said.
