VILLA PARK has been transformed into a building site immediately after the end of the season.

Work has begun , with dramatic changes already noticeable – but it will come at a cost.

Images of the ground after the end of the 2025-26 Prem season show Villa’s famous old home flattened into rubble in places.

The club have now officially started an enormous redevelopment of the North Stand – .

Pics from above Villa Park show the sides of the stadium in tatters with diggers knocking down brick and facilities next to the Doug Ellis and Trinity Road stands.

The bottom tier of the North Stand and Trinity Road Stand have had all its seats taken out.

In fact, the North Stand is currently empty of all seats with piles of them seen from shots of the pitch.

Flooring has been put over the grass to allow for materials to get around, with two main areas either side of the stand cordoned off and dug up.

Heavy machinery, vehicles, seats, scaffolding, and rock are all visible.

Villa Park’s 43,000 capacity will be cut down to around 37k for the return to the , but that will go up to 50k when all the work is done.

The North Stand will almost double in size with new changing rooms and first-team facilities being added.

And fans will have fresh and glossy concourses to look forward to as well after the £100million project is done.

Villa are aiming to complete work before the 2027-28 season as they revamp the stadium before Euro 2028.

‘s side have – on paper – the ninth biggest home support of any Prem team for next season.

But when the reduction in size is taken into account, they drop to 12th, below and .

Once it is all done, their huge new arena could be up to eighth in the capacity table – depending on promotion and relegation.
