UEFA are cranking up the pressure on Fifa big shot Arsene Wenger – but the Arsenal hero is refusing to quit, according to reports.

European ‘s governing body has been among the most vocal critics of ‘s plan to sell stakes in the World Cup to private investors – on Saturday after fierce backlash.
And now they have called on Fifa’s head of global football development, Wenger, as well as 13 other top executives, to gather all the documentation they can find on the sell-off plan as they weigh up making it a legal matter.
Uefa’s letter, which was seen by The Times , read: “Uefa hereby gives formal notice that it is actively considering legal action, arbitration, and/or regulatory complaints arising out of and in connection with the FFE [Fifa Forward Enterprise] plan proposed by Fifa and all related matters.
“You and Fifa are required to take immediate steps to identify, locate, and preserve all documents and electronically stored information described in this notice that are in your or Fifa’s possession, custody, or control.”
Fifa president Infantino is hanging by a thread as rival governing bodies look to oust him immediately.
But Wenger, 76, has no intentions of going with him.
The same report states that the former boss of 22 years feels he has a ‘mission to help youth football across the world’.
Wenger took the Fifa post in 2019, a year after leaving the Gunners, to oversee the growth and development of football globally.

His role also gives him sway during reviews into Fifa rule changes and tournaments.
Powerful football figures are determined to get rid of Infantino, who has lost support from a number of key players in recent days.

And after threatening to boycott the World Cup if the sell-off plan went ahead, chiefs from Uefa, Concacaf and the Asian Football Confederation are now ready to stage of international football’s biggest tournament if Infantino remains in post.
