As per tradition, the LaLiga giants practiced on the Emirates pitch the evening before the match.

After their training session, the players encountered cold water in the dressing room showers.

According to Spanish news outlet Marca , the team was left “surprised” and “confused” that such a modern stadium would lack this basic facility.

They reported that Atletico staff notified the stadium personnel about the hot water issue shortly after arriving.

However, the problem remained unresolved by the end of their training session.

Consequently, the sweaty players had to return to their hotel to shower there instead.

The report also indicates that Atletico has filed an official complaint regarding the matter.

It remains to be seen if Arsenal will face any repercussions for this oversight.

While Atletico expressed dissatisfaction with the hospitality at the Emirates, Gunners manager Mikel Arteta praised Simeone during his pre-match press conference.

The Spaniard, 43, stated: “Well, obviously (Simeone) is someone I look up to and learn from in many situations, and what stands out to me is his passion.

“Considering how long he has been in the game and at the same club with the same players, how he still manages to convey such energy and a desire to win is remarkable.

“It is a very challenging environment we operate in, and to keep convincing players, you must be extraordinarily good.

“I do not know him personally, but everything I have heard about him indicates that he excels in this area, which is one reason he has sustained success at such a high level.

“What he has done since arriving at Atletico has been exceptional, not just in terms of achievements but also in the manner he has accomplished them.

“I believe the identity he has instilled in the club, the team spirit, is very clear and identifiable because the manager embodies it.

“Achieving this for a brief period is extremely difficult, and to maintain it for 14 years, as he has, is an incredible feat; it’s a pleasure to meet him.”

Arsenal aims to continue their perfect start in the Champions League, having already secured victories over Athletic Club and Olympiacos, both with a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Atletico began their campaign with a 3-2 defeat but rebounded with a convincing 5-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Spanish capital.
