Published on May 22, 2025 at 10:08 AM

Three individuals were reportedly killed by suspected armed bandits while working on their farmlands in Azkwai Yalwa Village, Gidan Daudu, located in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The attack, which occurred on Tuesday, May 21, around 5:30 p.m., was disclosed in a post by renowned security analyst Zagazola Makama on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.

According to the report, the victims identified as Isah Zangon Daura, Mani Zangon Daura, and one yet-to-be-identified male were attacked while clearing their farmland in preparation for the rainy season.

Despite a swift response by troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, in collaboration with the police and Civilian Joint Task Force (C-Watch), the assailants fled the scene before the security forces arrived.

The injured victims were immediately rushed to the General Hospital in the area but were confirmed dead on arrival by medical personnel.

Their bodies were later released to the village head for burial.
