The elders' caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has urged governorship candidates to be patient before acquiring nomination forms for the 2026 election.
In a statement released on Friday and signed by its Chairman, Elder Sola Akinwumi, the caucus indicated that it had received the report from its Adhoc Committee regarding the upcoming governorship election.
The statement noted that the caucus has established a Screening Committee responsible for assessing all aspirants within a designated timeframe.
It emphasized that candidates should wait for the committee to complete its evaluation.
“All aspirants are encouraged to be patient in obtaining the required forms from the party until the Screening Committee submits its report to this body,” the caucus stated.

The APC has scheduled its governorship primary for December 13, 2025, in anticipation of the state poll on August 8, 2026.
