This comes after Paul’s initial opponent, Gervonta Davis, withdrew from the match.
There are concerns about the dynamics of the fight.
Paul stands at 6 feet 1 inch and has a reach of approximately 76 inches.
In contrast, former world champion AJ towers at 6 feet 6 inches.
He also has a significantly longer reach of 82 inches.
Joshua gave Paul a glimpse of what to expect by flaunting his toned physique on social media, stating: “There’s no tomorrow.”
Fans expressed their worries for Paul after witnessing Joshua’s condition, with one commenting: “I don’t think Jake Paul realized what he signed up for.”
Another remarked: “Locked in.”
One fan said: “Good luck, champ.”
However, another added: “If you lose, it will be detrimental for the sport.”
Indeed, AJ’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, believes that both he and Joshua should consider RETIREMENT if Paul emerges victorious.
Hearn stated: “Jake Paul is a legitimate cruiserweight now. I just don’t believe he’s world class, and I don’t think there’s any non-world-class cruiserweight who can step up to heavyweight and defeat Anthony Joshua.
“If I’m mistaken, then my time is up. Not just AJ and I, but we should all retire.
“I genuinely believe this will be a straightforward domination. This is a legitimate fight.
“This is a sanctioned contest. It is entirely illegal to have any kind of pre-arrangement regarding the fight's outcome.
“There is absolutely no escape for Jake Paul. He will soon discover what this sport is truly about. And it will not be a pleasant experience.”
