- Adeleye's Insights
Heavyweight boxer David Adeleye has a message for those who believe Jake Paul will be easily defeated by Anthony Joshua.
The former British champion is in a unique position to provide insight on their matchup in Miami on December 19.

At 29 years old, he has sparred with both fighters in the past and spent considerable time training alongside them.
Adeleye wants fans to recognize that Paul has evolved beyond his YouTuber persona.
He stated to Pro Boxing Fans : “Jake is a learner; he is eager to listen, asks questions, and puts in the effort to meet expectations.”
“People label him a YouTuber, but he is a man with substantial resources. He hires top-notch trainers, nutritionists, chefs, and strength and conditioning coaches; he is a full-time athlete now.”
Paul has been an active fighter for nearly six years, achieving 12 victories and one loss, with his only setback being a split decision to Tommy Fury in 2023.
He has already earned significant sums and is expected to make another £70 million for the upcoming bout in Miami.
While Paul has faced a 58-year-old opponent and a past-his-prime Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Anthony Joshua will undoubtedly be his most formidable challenge to date.
The British boxer stands five inches taller and is anticipated to weigh significantly more than Paul, even with the imposed weight limit.

Adeleye was part of Joshua's training camp for his fight against Kubrat Pulev in 2020.
Joshua won that bout by knockout and has recorded four additional victories since, but his three encounters with elite opponents over the past five years—Oleksandr Usyk twice and Daniel Dubois—have all resulted in defeats.
It remains uncertain whether Paul poses a genuine threat to Joshua, but Adeleye refrained from making a definitive statement.
He said: “I trained with him [Joshua]. It’s going to be a good fight.”
“I tend to give diplomatic answers, I prefer to observe. But Jake Paul knows why he challenged AJ. We will see what unfolds.”
