Sadly, both Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele, who were traveling with AJ in Nigeria, died instantly when the Lexus SUV they were in collided with a truck on the notorious Lagos-Ibadan highway.

Adeniyi was discharged from a Lagos hospital late on New Year’s Eve and has reportedly provided a statement to authorities.

Local media previously reported that he could still face charges for reckless driving.

The driver of the truck that collided with Joshua’s SUV reportedly disappeared shortly after the tragic accident.

He remains at large as Nigerian police urgently search for him.

Local driver Adeniyi is believed to have been interrogated for hours regarding the moments leading up to the fatal crash.

A police source informed The Daily Mail: “The driver was released after treatment for minor injuries and was then taken to the state police headquarters for questioning.

“He is in stable condition and was able to provide us with his account of events leading up to the crash. We expect a charging decision within the next 48 hours, but the bank holiday may cause delays.

“It is possible he could be in court on Friday, depending on how quickly the process moves, and it would be for reckless driving.”

Following the tragic accident, a source from the Federal Road Safety Corps stated: “Preliminary reports indicate that the driver exceeded speed limits and made dangerous overtaking maneuvers before the crash.

“These are serious offenses under Nigerian law and can result in criminal liability if fatalities are involved.”
