In-form Northern Ireland ace Cacace, 36, added to his scalps of Joe Cordina and Josh Warrington with a stunning win over Wood – who was fighting in front of a home crowd in Nottingham.
Cacace dominated Wood, and after dropping his man in the ninth round, Wood’s trainer Ben Davison threw in the towel with his fighter in serious danger.
