ANDONI IRAOLA is in advanced talks to take over as Bayer Leverkusen boss, according to reports.
The Spaniard, 43, confirmed last month that he would be leaving at the end of the season after three years in charge.

According to talkSPORT , Iraola has been holding serious discussions with Leverkusen over taking over as boss.
Ex-Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag took over from at BAYArena 12 months ago.
The Dutchman lasted just THREE games in charge, however, before being brutally sacked.
Ten Hag was replaced by Kasper Hjulmand, who went on to guide the 2023-24 Bundesliga champions to a sixth-place finish.
Hjulmand, 54, has not yet been axed as boss – but could be replaced by Iraola ahead of next season.
Leverkusen will play in the Europa League next term, meaning that they could face Bournemouth during the Cherries’ maiden European run.
Iraola was quickly replaced by Marco Rose at the Vitality Stadium.

Rose, 49, agreed a three-year contract with the Cherries and even met with his predecessor Iraola for a two-hour meeting.
Asked about his replacement last month, Iraola said: “Marco Rose’s Gladbach was one of my favourite teams.
“I really like German football because as a spectator I love it when things happen. It is not a case of you attack for two minutes and then it is my turn.
“Every player has to do more and more roles because everyone on the pitch is attacking and defending.
“I like that football where the player does everything. The attackers press as defenders, central defenders drive forward and hold the last line.
“It is a very complete and tactical football, that’s why I liked Rose’s Gladbach, you could see that it was well worked.”
