The All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in the coming November 8, 2025 election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, has pledged a cash reward of N2 million to any of the 326 wards in the state that records the highest number of registered voters.
This came on the heels of the kickoff of the Continuous Voters Registration, CVR, exercise in Anambra State ahead of the coming election.
Prince Ukachukwu, who spoke at the ongoing “thank you”; tour to members of the APC for choosing him as candidate, at Ogidi, urged all eligible voters to participate in the ongoing CVR for this year’s poll.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had announced the commencement of CVR effective today to allow eligible voters obtain voter cards before the July 17, 2025 deadline, while those seeking to replace lost voter cards should validate them online.
The guber candidate told the mammoth crowd who came to welcome him at the Nkwo Ogidi market and St. Mark’s Ojoto that he was unimpressed with the high level of deterioration of the general environment and insecurity across the state. Consequently, he promised to fix the anomalies so as to upgrade the living standard of the people.
He promised the electorate that when he’s voted into office, he would eliminate kidnappings, killings, and all anti-social behaviors in order to provide an enabling environment for positive transformation of the state.
His running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, also called on voters to use their votes and unseat the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, administration led by Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, adding that APC would take over power come November 8, 2025.
Stakeholders of the party in the area, including the Anambra State Chairman of APC, Chief Basil Ejidike; the Woman Leader, Mrs. Maria Ejielo; Idemili North LGA Chairman, Chief Charles Obadike; and former South East Youth Leader of APC, Chief Olisaemeka Onyeka, pledged total support and backing for Ukachukwu and Ekwunife on November 8.
