This announcement was made during the Ogbaru Constituency Campaign rally held in the Okpoko area of the state.

“Observing the conditions in Okpoko, which is arguably the largest urban slum in the Southeast, if not in Nigeria, with over half a million residents.

“There was no water, no roads, no streetlights, nothing. I assured you during my campaign that help was on the way.

“I promised the people of Anambra that either on the day of my inauguration or the following day, I would begin work in Okpoko.

“I was sworn in on the 17th, and on the 18th, I visited this venue, and today, over 20 kilometers of streets and roads have been completed, streetlights installed, pipe-borne water provided, and for the first time, a hospital has been established in Okpoko.

“Children are now benefiting from free education; that's why we are here. I care for you deeply. I will come and take a room here.”
