How Topshop is making a comeback 'with a bang'
FABULOUS Fashion Editor Abby McHale gives her view on Topshop's return with a brand new face of the brand..
Topshop 2.0 has entered the chat.
After Asos took over the brand in 2021 it became a bit of a quiet background character, sitting on the Asos website not really doing much.
However, that changed last year when it rebranded on its own website and now after launching in every John Lewis store in the UK, it has announced Anais Gallagher as its new face.
An ‘it’ girl of the moment the 26-year-old can be seen wearing some of the new collection, featuring on trend funnel neck jackets, barrel leg trousers and poplin midi skirts.
Giving a nod back to the 90s with checked shirts, low slung jeans and lots of denim, it’s no wonder Anais was chosen to represent the brand, with her dad being none other than Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher.
It’s clear that Topshop are wanting to come back with a bang, back in the day they had the likes of Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne at the helm, so it seems only right they carry on the tradition of bagging one of the models of the moment.
Plus with you now being able to physically shop the clothing in store through John Lewis and talks from the MD of the brand Michelle Wilson saying there are plans in the pipeline for standalone stores too, it’s one step closer to going back to how it used to be in its heyday – a millennials dream. And I for one am definitely here for it.

Brooklyn’s feelings towards Anais might have started to change in 2022, shortly after his lavish $3million oceanfront wedding to billionaire’s daughter Nicola.
Anais attended the bash, but that same year she reportedly slammed Brooklyn’s book, What I See, despite attending its launch event.
His attempts were widely mocked – and his pal said: “I genuinely find this book offensive.”
It first became clear that Brooklyn was having a social clear-out when none of his former friends or family came to see him renew vows with Nicola last August at her family’s 130-acre estate in New York state.
