The United goalkeeper swapped being between the posts for behind the decks at the Star of Bethnal Green pub.

Locals feared they’d had a pint too many after spotting Areola, 32, mixing tunes with earphones in on Saturday night.

Pub manager and Hammers fan Archie posted pictures on X, writing: “What if I told you Areola was currently DJing at my venue?”

He posted a snap of himself and Areola holding a signed shirt behind the bar, captioned: “The Star of Bethnal Green.

“The home of Areola’s first ever DJ set.”

It came hours after the French international was an unused substitute during the 0-0 draw with at the London Stadium.
