ALAN Davies has given an update on his health – two years after revealing he’s battling bladder cancer.

The popular comedian, 60, warned others about the scary sign he spotted that indicated he wasn’t very well.

Speaking candidly in scenes set to be aired on The Jonathan Ross Show this Saturday, said: “In 2024 I had bladder cancer. Luckily, a little bit of blood in the toilet bowl and I saw it…”

The star then explains the procedure to remove the cancerous tumour, as well as expresses his gratitude that he’d had a successful surgery.

Alan continues: “To get that tumour out, they have to go… up the… so my advice is, if you’re going to have a flexible cystoscopy…

“It’s not very nice and it’s not as bad as you think. That’s accurate. They got it out, so phew.”

He then adds in a clear health update: “I’m all clear now.”

Alan as since been back on tour and has found it incredibly touching that people showed up to see him perform despite his time away.

He shares: “I didn’t know if anyone would come. It’s a bit like having a party.

“But people did come, and a lot of them had grey hair and hadn’t been out for ages.”

“I’m going everywhere with the show. It’s called ‘ Think Ahead’ .

“I have to now. I spend more time in the pharmacy than the gym.”

In his new routines, Alan has been delving into topics he’s never confronted before while on stage.

Though it hasn’t been easy, he’s describes it as making the show into a “richer and better experience.”

The star concludes in the interview: “I lost my mum, there’s an abuse story with my father, which I didn’t really confront until I was really in my 50s.

“This is the first stand up show where I’ve been able to talk about these difficult subjects…

“Let’s not have shame, let’s all talk, talk, talk.

“You have to make it funny; very funny before it and really funny after it.

“Weaving it into the thread of the show. If the show was a cake, this has got all the ingredients in. It’s a richer and better experience.”

Think Again is Alan’s first stand-up tour in a decade.

The Jonathan Ross Show airs on Saturday at 10pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
